Artificial intelligence can considerably influence the future of our education. Also many technology providers that are introducing AI products to boost new-age learning. Developing our educational assembly typically starts from the private sector, but new inventions are seeping into key school districts within states as well.

"We will start seeing robotics in classrooms too shortly, AI is already fetching an effective teaching tool because of its ability to adapt and offer customized courses. AI-enabled tools help assess an individual's current level of understanding, identify gaps and offer tailored recommendations, just like a tutor would."

Educational tools empowered by AI have recently attracted attention for their potential to recover education quality and improve traditional learning and teaching methods. AI generally allows computers to perform tasks that are usually thought to require human intelligence. Parliament may consider the risks and profits of AI in schoolrooms, including the impact of AI on issues such as student data privacy, teacher preparation, and technology development.

Current Claims of AI in Classrooms

Nowadays, both startups and established companies want to integrate AI into marketable products. In some cases, AI performs functions self-sufficiently of teachers, while in others it augments teaching abilities.

Applications of AI-based education technology include the following:

  • Automating Tasks : AI can perform routine tasks such as taking student's attendance, ordering assignments and generating test questions.
  • Tutoring: AI programs generally referred to as Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) or adaptive tutors involve schoolchildren in dialogue, answer questions, and then provide feedback.
  • Testing: Computer-adaptive assessments adjust the struggle of successive queries based on the correctness of the student's answers, enabling more precise identification of a student's mastery level.
  • Personalizing Education: Intelligent Tutoring Systems and adaptive tutors tailor learning material, pace, sequence, and difficulty to each scholar's needs. AI can also provide support to students for any kind of needs, for instance by teaching autistic children to identify facial expressions.
